Report the Scammers!
Skylords,
There seems to have been a rise in attempted scamming activity in-game as of late. We would just like to remind everyone that at no stage will anyone from EA ask for your username and password in-game. Additionally, we would advise you to be wary of anyone contacting you in-game with EA, Phenomic, Mod, or Admin in their usernames, we do not have any members of staff using such names. It is quite possibly a scammer trying to take advantage of you. If you come across someone who you believe to be a scammer, please report them via the support ticket function on our site. http://customersupport.ea.com/logina...ge_portal.html Have fun and be safe when playing, don't give your account details to anyone! Silvanoshi

Forum Rules
Welcome to our forums!
These boards are a place for the community to discuss tips, tactics and techniques for getting the most out of BattleForge. It is also a place for the developers to gather useful information that helps them make better choices for the future. To achieve that, the community team work hard to keep these boards helpful and on-topic. Failure to follow these rules can result in your posts being moved, locked, edited or deleted, and may result in your posting privileges being removed. 1 - Inappropriate Content This forum is intended to be usable by people of all ages, to that end posts containing profanity, obscenity, insults, personal attacks, accusations or abusive language will be edited or removed and can result in disciplinary action being taken. Post titles, signatures and images are subject to the same restrictions as post content. Even if the post content is not objectionable, posts can be edited if the title violates those rules. If others have posted in reply, and all the replies feature the same offending title, then the entire thread may be removed. Requesting links to sites that host illegal content (e.g. cracks) is forbidden, as well as offering, sharing or posting illegal files in the forum. Violation of this rule will result in an immediate ban from the forum. The same rules apply for players trying to make use the forums for scamming techniques. Also prohibited are forum posts that negatively call out other players. This is not allowed in any form. Should you feel insulted by another player, or think someone is playing unfairly, please contact support. 2 - No Flaming This includes any kind of personal attack, flame, targeted harassment or intimidation either by board posts or private messages. "But he flamed me first!" is NOT an acceptable reason to insult another poster. A flame war is a flame war, and it doesn’t matter who started it. If you have concerns about the treatment you are receiving at the hands of another poster, don’t respond in kind; notify a forum moderator. Many arguments cannot be won, and simply end up going round in circles taking discussions ever further away from the original topic. Please do not misuse the forum for personal disputes. If you have a disagreement with another user, please follow it up via private message. Whatever you do, please stick to the Netiquette. 3 - Private messages This message board allows users to send private messages to one another through an enclosed system. Sending offensive personal messages to someone through our boards system can be considered harassment or a personal attack, and will be subject to the same discipline as posts made on the regular forums. If you receive a private message and it makes you feel in any way uncomfortable, inform a member of the community team. Also, please consider private messages from other users as private and don’t post them in the public section of the forum. 4 - Opening a thread Please use the search function before you post to avoid opening a new thread on a topic which has already been discussed. Give your thread an appropriate and self-explanatory title. Please don't give your thread an all caps title ("shouting"). Additionally, threads that demand an answer from administration are prohibited ("blue post plz"). Such threads will be closed by the moderation team. 5 - Stay on topic If you’re posting in the main forum, don’t start talking about your favorite band - we’ve set up different forums so that all the posts in one area are relevant to specific aspects of the game. If you want to talk about the weather or suchlike, use the Off Topic forum. 6 - No spamming Spamming includes posting the same post multiple times in a forum, repeatedly posting on the same topic in different threads, or posting the same post in multiple forums. Multiple posts, whether on the same boards or different boards, will be locked or deleted. 7 - No thread bumping / Necroposting Posting messages with irrelevant content for the sole purpose of keeping certain posts near the top is called "bumping". This causes other posts to scroll off the page faster than they should, and raises forum traffic unnecessarily. If you think of something you’d like to add to a post after making it we recommend editing your original post instead of making an additional one. Bumping threads may cause them to be locked. Further, we don't like to see you pushing threads that haven't been active for a reasonable amount of time. This is commonly referred to as "Necroposting" as there's usually a reason why threads disappeared from the first 10 pages of a forum - no one was interested in them any more. Please accept this fact and don't bump them. 8 - No "Begging" threads or posts Threads and posts asking for free Cards/BFP/Gold/Beta Keys and CD keys will not be tolerated. Any such threads or posts will be deleted and the poster will be given an infraction. 9 - Reporting Posts Should you spot a post you feel requires the attention of a member of the community team you should report it, either by clicking the report button or by private messaging one of the team. Please be aware that while this forum is moderated regularly it may not always be possible to address posts that require moderation immediately, however all “problem” posts will be dealt with. Abuse of the Report Post system will be subject to the same discipline as abuse of any other system in place on this site. 10 - Links and Screenshots You are welcome to post screenshots or other pictures within posts, however these should be posted in an adequate size or as links rather than full size images which stretch the forum and slow page loading. Using the .jpg or .gif format for screenshots, rather than the .bmp format, helps reduce the file size, as does limiting animation. All files and content linked to from the boards are subject to the same content guidelines as those posted directly on the boards. Further, we can't allow for links in postings or private messages forwarding to auctions (regardless of what you're selling) or advertisements. However, we allow for putting such links in your signature (so in case you want to sell something on... say e-bay, this would be your only chance to make others aware of it). 11 - Feedback threads Your feedback helps us making the game better and to fix problems in future content updates. Please be constructive - criticism should be backed up with concrete examples. 12 - Multiple Accounts Each user of these forums is permitted one account only. Multiple accounts belonging to a single user will be removed. 13 - Moderation If a problem comes up at any time, please follow the community team’s instructions. The moderator will take action as described in the rules described above, although there are always borderline cases. Accept the moderator's decision. If you feel that a moderator has treated you or your thread unjustly, don’t post it in the forum, send a PM to the administrator. 14 - Content Selling The selling of game content, for example gold or cards for currency, is prohibited. Any threads of this nature will be deleted by the moderation team without warning. Links to sellers offering accounts and game content via online auction platforms (e.g. Ebay) will also be deleted. 15 - Advertisement We will not tolerate the advertisement of anything other than the cards/gold/bfp that players wish to trade in the Trade forum. Anything else will be removed and may result in a forum ban. 16 - Give-aways Account give-aways are not permitted on our forum. Card give-aways are, however the organisation of this must take place either on our forum or via in-game mail. Any links to off-site methods of contact will result in the deletion of the thread. 17 - Gambling/Lotteries In the forum, lotteries and gambling are not allowed. This includes selling of boosters, both those repackaged by players as well as unopened original boosters - these may only be sold by EA. 18 - Goodbye/Farewell/Leaving threads These threads will not be tolerated. They will be deleted on sight. 19 - Disciplinary Procedures Any user in breach of the rules of these forums may find themselves subject to disciplinary action. In many cases breaches of forum rules are due to a lack of familiarity with the rules, in which case a warning will be issued. However in more serious breaches of the rules, or users who break rules persistently a user’s account may be given a temporary or permanent ban from the forum. Electronic Arts reserves the right to remove any user from this forum at any time without notice. Electronic Arts reserves the right to modify the board rules at any time without notice.
