What's with the strange patch thing all of a sudden ???
it downloads file named : "bf1_effects_l0w_43.pak" all of a sudden - sized 603.8mb. i tried to close and restart the client to find if there's an error or something because there was no PATCH announcement. now it shows Downloading 2.7GB starting bf1_effects01.pak ? what the hell ?... just a few moments ago i played the game. yesterday my client was around 10GB and now it's 1.6GB ... what is going on ? It's like the client has a mind of it's own... it deleted all the "PAK" directory files leaving around 1.6GB of them and downloading everything all over again...
same on another computer that this client was on... that computer had the high textures but was working on low texture quality, it first downloaded the 600mb and came up, i was even able to play and when i checked the directory "PAK" it had 3GB on it. But when i restarted that client on that computer it start updating again downloading the high texture pack all over again and deleting the low textures... > 2.7GB all the "PAK" directory files all over again. (and what's more, someone has to change that 2.7GB is not 2.7GB it's way more! - when you install the client fully with the high textures you get around 10GB at the end). IT DELETED all the files almost in the "PAK" directory and redownloading it... i just hope when it finish it's not gonna do this again when i close and reopen the client, PLEASE CHECK THIS IMMIDIATELY !!!! The client should not delete the high textures pack even if he uses the low, that's surely a BUG! And redownloading it without any reason or warning about anything new in the effects that's just ABSURD! Last edited by NightmareCFS; 31.07.2010 at 17:54. |
