Card is perfectly fine, if you apply Rancords suggestion you can take shadow and throw it into the toilet, due Mounty spam.

Disagree with up to 100 power take over - welcome back unstoppable mountaineer vs shadow.....

Instead of letting her control the enemy monster I suggest that she can suicide and KILL the enemy monster COSTING UP TO 150 POWER, whilst killing herself.... all power costs stay the same... eg 65to summo 75 for ability.

timmel is right. especially pure Shadow needs NG to counter Mounty.

My suggestion that makes it more risky but still lets it stay good:

Once you take control over a unit and the Ng is swapped the following happens:

- The Nightguard gets a buff that reduces all damage she takes by 75% for 10 seconds.

a) This should let it remain usefull as a counter to singleunit rushes.
b) It is still possible to run away with her. No instant kill with Nox anymore.
c) She cant use her skill alone but she has the chance to run away and make her drawback an actual drawback.

Please discuss this I think its reasonable and logical.

lol? not taking over 100 powercost?, well that would make shadow completly unplayable again :X no good counter for mountaineer, and well since Sog got a nerv with nerving this card too, thered be nearly no reason to play shadow anymore

btw. not going over 100? is a joke :X

you spend 65 for the unit and 75 for ability -> 140 in total and the enemy gets your ng so taking over the unit already puts u at a disatvantage especially if he manages to run away with the ng -> swap back -> 65 power for ng wasted

Nightguard:
  • Meta Effect
    • The Nightguard greatly limits the viability of units costing between 70-150 power or units that have been buffed. It effectively killed Fire/Shadow and greatly hurt pure Frost decks. It is however a card that Shadow greatly needed to deal with certain strategies. Any changes must be made carefully or we will return to the days of Mountaineer spam. The following changes are suggested on an and/or basis. They should make using the Nightguard riskier without completely destroying its ability to counter the things it needs to counter. A good player should be easily able to escape with the Nightguard intact.
  • Changes:
    • Option 1:
      • 10-15 second damage immunity after swap.
    • And/Or Option 2:
      • 5-10 second initial cooldown.
